How is fuel cost calculated?
Fuel cost = (Distance ÷ Fuel Efficiency) × Fuel Price. For a 300 km trip at 15 km/L efficiency with petrol at ₹105/L: (300 ÷ 15) × 105 = ₹2,100 total fuel cost.
What is a good fuel efficiency for a car?
For petrol cars in India, 15–20 km/L is considered good. Diesel cars typically achieve 18–25 km/L. For highway trips, efficiency is usually 15–20% better than city driving.
