Yes. European CSV files often use semicolons (;) instead of commas as the delimiter. The tool auto-detects the delimiter or lets you specify it manually.
What happens to quoted fields with commas inside?
Quoted fields (e.g. 'Smith, John') are correctly parsed — the comma inside quotes is treated as content, not a separator. RFC 4180-compliant CSV parsing is applied.
Will the Excel file have proper column types?
Numbers, dates, and text are auto-detected and formatted in the appropriate Excel column type. This prevents numbers from being stored as text (a common import issue).
